Apr 9, 2022 · Fully charged genuine HO M18 battery. Tried with many others with same result 2.) I was able to change the units a few times with the button, now it just does nothing and won't change from anything but psi, kind of odd. 3.) When the inflator DOES cut off at target psi, it is often a few psi than my target. Not a big deal, but worth mentioning.

Short answer... YES. In my opinion - everyone who owns a car should own an inflator... and the M18 is the best of the bunch. Compressors are nice, but unless you keep your compressor charged 24/7 with a quick connects already everywhere - by the time you get it charged & setup, the m18 is already done.

Jan 6, 2023 · I am using an 8.0 in mine and it does that, but restarts automatically up to five times. If you read the manual this is normal operation, Milwaukee anticipated that the M18 Inflator was powerful enough that it could build up back pressure in the hose and unit before that pressure was discharged into the tire or whatever you are inflating.

Oct 16, 2023 · Time difference is noticeably in favor of the M18; but I’ve had issues with the M18 when I inflate anything under 35 PSI. For example: need to inflate a piping system to 20 PSI. Start the M18 inflator, and it gives off a false signal that it’s full and at 20PSI and goes into standby mode at 15 PSI.

The M18 version will top off tires faster but the M12 will certainly work for what you’re trying as well. I have an F250 and keep tires at 65 psi and either version works better than pulling out the air compressor. The M12 will take longer than the M18 but it’s also nice the have the compact size if space is an issue.

Aug 15, 2022 · The m18 inflator is a proper tire pump and is more than capable of filling large truck tires without overheating. It has a built in fan and the internals are much more stout. If you’re filling 4 tires back to back go m18 all the way. The m12 version of this tool is an embarrassment to Milwaukee and idk why they haven’t redesigned it yet.

Jul 2, 2022 · Follow-up. I finally burned up those wheels and replaced my RPF1 aluminum fancy pants valve stems with regular rubber ones. The M18 inflator now inflates them properly without building pressure and pausing inflation again and again. If you have PRF1 or other Enkei wheels with aluminum stems, ditch those danged things.
