Dec 20, 2013 · I have just bought a new Milwaukee 18V angle grinder with charger and battery. Charger gave flashing lights for faulty battery when I tried to charge it. Tried a few times with same result. Put battery into one of my old Milwaukee chargers and it charged. Also worked in the new charger after I had used grinder and flattened battery.

Jul 19, 2019 · I have a m18 5.0 battery that when you hit the power indicator it blinks with one bar (indicating it is dead). Obviously there is no power to make any tools work with it. When you plug it into the charger the light (on the charger) comes on as green but the battery is dead.

Lithium ion chargers need feedback for the constant current and constant voltage charging especially with the limits of different batteries on rapid chargers, so they've implemented most of that stuff you had to remember in the past into the charger.

Nov 22, 2017 · We have makita tools as well that all use a fast charger, and the batteries are probably charged 2-3 times a day. After 4 years they are all still going strong with barely any reduction in run times. Those batteries are actively cooled during charging, but the milwaukee rapid charger is a fair bit slower so they likely dont need it.

Jul 31, 2017 · I have the Milwaukee M18 Bluetooth radio/M18 Battery charger combo. Fantastic radio, love it a lot. Only problem I've ever had with it is the power knob in the center which is also the volume, has somewhat collapsed into the radio. It still (kinda) works, although to turn it on you have to press as hard as you can to make it turn on.
