Steel Cutting Chop Saw - TractorByNet
Dec 12, 2010 · I would not immediately excuse the abrasive chop saws either. There is more mess/sparks, but the blades are a fraction of a cold-cut saw blade. If you change angles a lot during a project, you may want to avoid the band saw and find something with a faster way to change. I looked at Evo and Dewalt when I was in the market.
Dry Cut Saw vs. Abrasive Blade Chop Saw - TractorByNet
Jun 2, 2008 · If you haven't tried a dry cut saw, you really need to and the price is pretty good - $239 including the $80 blade and shipping. I just got done cutting a 1" piece of round stock on the saw in fewer than 15 seconds and could immediately grab the cut end which looked as if it had just been polished. Band Saw vs Abrasive Chop Saw - TractorByNet
Jun 21, 2017 · I own all three: abrasive chop saw, toothed dry cut chop saw, band saw. I seriously dislike small, cheap band saws - extremely slow, to the point of ridiculous. The big Ellis brand saws I've used are excellent, but I don't own a big one yet. I bring a portable band saw or one of the chop saws with me on the trailer when needed.

Brown Tree Saw Vs. Dougherty Tractor Saw - Seeking Input
Nov 26, 2013 · Dougherty Tractor Saw: Tractor Mounted Tree Saw Both units appear to be very similar and cost about the same, around $5500 with the grapple attachment. To me, this is A LOT of money for an attachment, but if it will give me many years of service and allow me to cut what I need to cut, when I want to cut it, it's probably the way to go.
Use Cut Off Saw for Cutting Bricks?? - TractorByNet
Jul 12, 2008 · I use my Milwakee 14 inch metal chop saw all the time for cutting pavers and cultured stone. I put a diamond masonary blade in it and it workds great. I like the blades with the cuts in them. I'm told they help with cooling. I've tried both and find the ones with the cuts just do a better job. If it's a small job, I use my 7 1/4 circular saw.

Cutting logs: Buzz Vs Chainsaw etc. - TractorByNet
Feb 5, 2010 · I'll have no problem hoiking them onto a saw table. I also have a decent array of pneumatic bits and bobs lying around: As there's no way that the servo motor or buzzsaw will take 18hp worth of power from the PTO shaft, I can use it to drive a compressor at the same time and run a pneumatic system for lifting, clamping and positioning logs.
Stihl KM94r or Echo PAS-2620? - TractorByNet
Jan 23, 2012 · My "go to" COS is a HF Lynxx which shares batteries with my 14" Lynxx chainsaw does 90% of my COS work. Second is a 16' non-powered pole saw, good for the occasional limb cutting but tiring. And then I bring out the Echo about once or twice a year for those jobs the others can't do. Note: Echo used to give a 20% off sale 1 day a year.
