I knew it would yield coarser shavings than other options, but had an aha/uh-oh moment when I saw them sprayed all over the table & floor in my garage. Most went into the little reservoir they have for them but, as is inevitable, plenty got scattered around.

Apr 15, 2016 · in my shop the chop saw is the last resort for cutting metal. i have a black and decker and use it for stainless and cast iron to save the bandsaw blade. it also comes out in the field and i've cut a lot of 1/4" wall tubing with it over the years. i have no idea which model it is but i just now saw a b&d advertised for $120. at zorro.

Mar 27, 2011 · Harbor Freight does not have a low-rpm metal cutting saw that I know about. In any case, 3500 rpm is too fast for the 10" or 14" blades made by Freud and most other companies. This is one of the reasons a wood saw (like a miter saw) will not work for metal cutting. The absence of a vise to hold the material is another reason.
