Prince William — the Duke of Rothesay as he is titled in Scotland — visited a farm and a support center with the aim of promoting mental well-being in rural areas.

The Duke kicked off the first engagement of his day north of the border by taking part at a roundtable hosted by Farm Safety Foundation (Yellow Wellies), a charity working throughout the UK to address the attitudes and behaviours to farm safety and poor mental health in the next generation of farmers.

Prince William visited Angus on Thursday to spotlight community organisations tackling rural isolation and loneliness in Scotland. William, who holds the title Duke of Rothesay whilst in Scotland, focused his attention on initiatives helping to build connections within rural communities.

The Scottish government wants everyone to know it does not plan to ban cats. First Minister John Swinney was forced to issue the statement after a report by independent experts branded felines a threat to Scotland’s wildlife.
