FAYETTEVILLE — Dan Fitzgerald had visions of Kansas baseball’s first regional berth since 2014 throughout the season. The Jayhawks coach, who took over after stints as an assistant at LSU and Dallas Baptist, knew about the heightened expectations entering his third season in Lawrence, Kan.

Creighton Baseball opens the NCAA Regional on Friday, May 30 against Kansas at 7:00 p.m. in the Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The Kansas Jayhawks are headed to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014 where they will face off against the reigning Big East Champion Creighton Bluejays. The Kansas baseball team is officially headed back to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in more than a decade.
