On Saturday and Sunday, Beyoncé will be taking over the NRG Stadium, and fans are wondering if she will have any surprise guests, especially after her recent show in Paris, where she brought out her husband Jay-Z for their first performance together in at least seven years.

So when the chance came to spend a few days in the city that gave us Queen Bey and the world’s largest rodeo, I didn’t hesitate. After all, what better place to ride the wave of Cowboy Carter than in Beyoncé’s hometown?
