President Donald Trump called Elon Musk's plans to form a new political party "ridiculous," saying Musk could have fun with his new project but that the United States functions best under a two-party system.

Elon Musk announced that the “America Party,” his proposed third party that will break up what he calls a “uniparty” system in the United States, will be formed following the conclusion of an X poll showing a majority of respondents were in favor of it.

US tech billionaire Elon Musk said he has formed a new political party to give Americans their freedom back, after a dramatic falling out with Donald Trump.   He announced his plans on his social media platform X that he had set up the ‘America Party’ to challenge the two-party system in the country.
