Bernie Sanders on Sunday responded to criticism from a fellow Democrat caucus member of his use of the term "oligarchy" saying that the "American people are not quite as dumb" as to not understand the term.

Sanders will first rally with U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center’s Equine Arena, 2300 North Cameron Street, Harrisburg, according to Friends of Bernie Sanders.

U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, an independent from Vermont, will bring his “Fighting Oligarchy: Where We Go From Here” tour to the Lehigh Valley on May 3. Sanders will speak at Lehigh University’s Stabler Arena. Also appearing will be U.S. Rep. Chris Deluzio, a Democrat who represents Pennsylvania’s 17th District in southwestern Pennsylvania.
