An ESPN insider offered up a simple reason why LeBron James chose to accept his $52.6 million contract option with the Lakers.

LeBron James is willing to play out the final year of his two-year, $101.35 million deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Over the weekend, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported that James picked up his $52.6 million player option to stay with the Lakers.
