No damage or injuries were reported from the small quake in central Virginia, but many people reported it to the U.S. Geological Survey.

A 2.8 magnitude earthquake rattled parts of Virginia on Tuesday, around 5:30 p.m. The quake occurred a little over a half mile northeast of Wyndham, at a depth of 0.1 kilometers. Over 1,300 reports were made to the USGS, but no damage was reported.

The earth tremors in Richmond and its nearby regions are the first incident in Virginia in more than 13 years. Previously, an earthquake of 5.8 magnitude hit Virginia on August 23

The earthquake made a minor impact at around 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The epicenter of the quake was in Wyndham, Va., a suburb of Richmond.
