US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff has for the first time visited a controversial Israel- and US-backed aid distribution site in Gaza. Witkoff went with US ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee in a delegation accompanied by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

Steve Witkoff is set to visit the enclave on Friday amid growing pressure on Israel to ease the hunger crisis. Hamas said the trip would be a “propaganda show.”
