A t the University of Michigan, we have been living inside a telenovela for weeks, a tragicomedy of resistance that saw our president, Santa J. Ono, pitted against the majority of our Board of Regents, the regents against each other, and the faculty against the regents. On Sunday, May 4, the season finale served a shocker:

Santa J. Ono might have been at the University of Michigan for a good time, but not a long time. It remains to be seen whether or not Ono's tenure leading U-M will continue, but the University of Florida is reportedly making a move to lure away President Ono from his post in Ann Arbor.

Dr. Santa J. Ono, current president at the University of Michigan, will resign in order to take the same role at the University of Florida.
