Zak Starkey hasn't shied away from how he felt when The Who fired him, re-hired him, then "retired" him, and in a new interview with The i Paper, Pete Townshend shared his own confusion with the decision that was supposedly made after a recent performance at Albert Hall.

Pete Townshend and Roger Daltery have been performing in The Who since 1964, but following the explosive exit of drummer Zak Starkey, the group could be torn apart further

In April, The Who announced they were parting ways with Starkey — who is Ringo Starr’s son — following two shows at Royal Albert Hall in the UK, which saw the likes of Bill Murray, Sadie Frost, Tracy-Ann Oberman, and famed hypnotist Paul McKenna, in attendance.
