The airlines of the Lufthansa Group announced that they would resume flights to and from Tel Aviv in waves starting June 23, following a suspension that began in early May due to regional tensions. The decision marked a step toward normalizing air travel between Israel and Europe after a period of disruptions.
Airspace was closed over Israel, Jordan, Iran and Iraq on Friday after Israel attacked Iran with a wave of airstrikes.
The Lufthansa Group, that includes the Zaventem (Flemish Brabant)-based airline Brussels Airlines has announced that all flights to and from the Israeli city of Tel Aviv will be suspended until at least 31 July.
ITA Airways announced that it will resume its Tel Aviv flights on July 7. The media could not be loaded, either because the server or network failed or because the format is not supported.
The airline said, "easyJet is extending the suspension of its flights to and from Tel Aviv until July 31 (inclusive). All passengers who have booked flights for July are being notified of their options, including a refund or re-routing. We continue to closely monitor the security situation in Israel."
