Hamm and his former costar John Slattery marked 10 years since the series' finale with a panel at ATX TV Festival and shared some behind-the-scenes secrets

Reuniting for a panel at Austin’s ATX TV Festival over the weekend, Jon Hamm and John Slattery, who starred as Don Draper and Roger Sterling, looked back on the highs of the Emmy-winning show, as well as some of its downsides.

When the younger cast told Hamm they "wanted to feel" the burn of real cigarettes, the series star joked, "Let me know how that goes."Mad Men was built on three things: Jon Hamm, excellent writing, and a mountain of fake cigarettes.
