Eddie Howe has warned Alexander Isak he must earn the right to train with Newcastle United after going AWOL. Isak sat out of the Magpies’ pre-season tour of Asia after reporting a “minor thigh injury” but that did not prevent him from travelling to Spain to train individually at former club Real Sociedad.

Newcastle have rejected a formal £110million offer from Liverpool for centre-forward Alexander Isak. Isak wants to leave Newcastle this summer and has been training at his former club, Real Sociedad, while Eddie Howe’s squad are in South Korea as part of their pre-season tour of Asia.

Sources have told ESPN that Newcastle have accelerated talks with Leipzig to sign Sesko -- who Manchester United also have in their sights. Sources would not confirm the value of the bid, but British media report said it is worth up to £69.7 million ($92.5m)
