An oil field was set on fire after a drone strike in Iraq's Dohuk province, in the Kurdish region. The incident on Tuesday is the latest in a series of attacks on oil facilities in northern Iraq.

No group has claimed responsibility, but the attacks have heightened tensions between Baghdad and Kurdish authorities, raising concerns about the region’s energy security.

The United States Embassy in Iraq, in a statement: "The United States condemns the recent drone attacks throughout Iraq, including the July 14 and July 15 drone attacks on critical infrastructure at the Khurmala and Sarsang oil fields in the Iraqi Kurdistan Region."
