Eleven people died and several others were injured in a stampede outside M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening, said Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah. The incident took place as thousands of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) fans crowded the area to catch a glimpse of the team after their first-ever IPL title win.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have brought the IPL trophy to Bengaluru and are meeting Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. However, uncertainty persists over the open-top bus parade to Chinnaswamy Stadium with heavy crowd and stampede-like situation being reported around the ground.
