The Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday traded depth forward Joe Veleno to the Seattle Kraken for veteran winger André Burakovsky.

The Blackhawks will take on the full $5.5 million due in each of the final two contract seasons for a veteran forward caught up in a Kraken numbers game of wingers following Thursday’s trade for Mason

The Chicago Blackhawks acquired Andre Burakovsky from the Seattle Kraken on Saturday in exchange for fellow forward Joe Veleno. Chicago also placed defenseman T.J. Brodie on unconditional waivers for purposes of buying out his contract.
