Over the years, films like Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive would become cult classics among both fans and critics. But Lynch's best-known work is Twin Peaks, which he co-created with Mark Frost.

Though the officially presentation will happen in February, the 'Mulholland Drive' and 'Blue Velvet' writer-director was able to accept the prize in late 2024, before his death on Jan. 16.
