His $41 million per year average annual value will again be the highest for a non-quarterback in the NFL for the second time in his career.
Watt had gone radio silent on social media over the last few months, but posted a picture of a workout with fellow outside linebacker Nick Herbig that broke that silence. Then, shortly after the agreement came into place for the Steelers and Watt, the superstar pass rusher took to Instagram to make a post declaring he’s back.

It surpassed wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals ($40.25 million) and rival Cleveland Browns pass rusher Myles Garrett ($40 million).
