After The Last of Us season 2's second episode shocked viewers, the upcoming outing is unmissable, and will be one of the most emotional yet.

Episode 3 begins with Ellie immediately in the aftermath of Joel's death, dealing with the trauma of what she's just witnessed. The show then jumps forward three months to show her at the end of her recovery in hospital. Here, she has a check over with one of the doctors before meeting with town therapist – and exclusive show character – Gail.

The Last of Us Season 2, Season 3 is titled "The Path" and will arrive on Max on Sunday, April 27, 2025. It will mark the third of seven total episodes, which is two fewer episodes than Season 1. New episodes will drop every Sunday, and the Season 2 finale will air on May 25, 2025.
