Liverpool F.C. soccer player Diogo Jota was killed in a car crash in Spain along with his brother, police say.

MADRID – Liverpool player Diogo Jota and his brother have died in a car accident in Spain, police said Thursday. The Spanish civil guard confirmed to The Associated Press that Jota and his brother were found dead after their car went off a road near the western city of Zamora.

The likely cause of the crash that tragically killed 28-year-old Liverpool soccer star Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva has been revealed. The soccer star and his brother died at the scene of the fiery crash in their Lamborghini on July 3.
