NEWPORT, Ky. (WKRC) — The Hooters restaurant located on Riverboat Row along the Ohio River has permanently closed its doors. Signs posted at the establishment confirm the closure, stating it is "closed for good."

Restaurant chain Hooters abruptly closed over 30 locations across multiple states June 4, including one in Newport, Kentucky. Hooters said in a statement to USA TODAY that the closed stores were company owned and called the closures a "difficult decision."
