New Mississippi State baseball coach Brian O'Connor has made hires for his coaching staff. The Bulldogs hired Kevin McMullan and Matt Kirby on June 5, the first official pieces of O'Connor's staff. Both of them come from Virginia, where O'Connor was for the last 22 seasons.
