In a discovery bid, Drake, born Aubrey Graham, urged the court to force UMG and chief executive Lucian Grainge to turn over the label’s contract with Lamar, as well as information relating to allegations of domestic violence and other crimes committed by the Compton rapper.

Drake seems to want to confirm allegations he made on the 2024 Kendrick Lamar diss song "Family Matters," where he accused Kendrick Lamar of beating his wife, Whitney. Drake also insisted on the song that Kendrick's kids might actually be Dave Free's children.

The Hollywood Reporter states that Drizzy is attempting to persuade the court to force the record label and its chairman and CEO, Lucian Grainge, to hand over Dot’s contract. He’s also asking for any details and communications from Grainge regarding “allegations of domestic violence and other crimes” supposedly committed by the pgLang head.
