Houthi forces launched a missile toward Israel after the IDF carried out drone strikes on Yemen’s Hodeidah port, a key hub allegedly used to import Iranian weapons. The Israeli military said the missile was intercepted by its Iron Dome defense system with no injuries reported.

Since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023, the Houthis have carried out several attacks on shipping lanes in the Red Sea, saying they were acting in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza.
