Fresh off a a blockbuster legal accusation from his former police commissioner on Wednesday, and some major endorsements on Thursday, Mayor Eric Adams sat down one-on-one with Eyewitness News anchor Bill Ritter as the New York City mayoral race heats up.

The shocking vote of confidence came despite Mayor Eric Adams, who has repeatedly cozied up to Trump, also vying for re-election on an independent line in the general race. Adams has attacked Cuomo for staying in the race, claiming that he alone should be the one to take on Mamdani in November.

Mr. Cuomo, the former governor of New York, has vowed to run a more energetic campaign than he did in the mayoral primary, and aimed to demonstrate that on Tuesday.
