Mayor Muriel Bowser says the District of Columbia and the Commanders reached an agreement to construct a new home for the football team in the city.

The D.C. Council has up to 70 days upon receipt of the budget to vote and adopt it, which means they’d need to get the budget in the coming days to have both of their budget votes by July 15 if they take all 70 days to work on the budget.

The Washington Commanders are returning to their namesake city in a nearly $3 billion deal creating a new stadium on the site of the team's historic home.
