The news of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert 's cancellation is rocking the late-night world.

"Next year will be our last season. The network will be ending 'The Late Show.'"

Executives at the network said in a joint statement that the decision was “not related in any way to the show’s performance, content or other matters happening at Paramount.”
