Wildfires continue to burn in Hays and Blanco Counties. Evacuation orders have been lifted, but this comes as we get word of a new wildfire

Residents were left to speculate about an "ongoing incident" nearby. At least two wildfires prompted evacuations.

A 10Weather Impact Alert remains in place as High Wind Warnings and Wind Advisories have been issued for our area, and downed trees and power outages are possible. A strong low-pressure system moved across the region Tuesday and signals are pointing toward the potential for impactful weather across the Southeast.

It is wildfire season in East Tennessee. The dry, windy conditions have kindled several fires across the regio n, including large bushfires in Tellico Plains and near Gatlinburg. Those fires in Monroe County and Sevier County both required residents to evacuate at one point.
