Sepp Straka withdrew from the BMW Championship due to a family emergency, just weeks before the Ryder Cup, risking his automatic qualification chances.

Sepp Straka has pulled out of the BMW Championship because of a private family matter. That leaves a 49-man field at Caves Valley.

Along with his two wins, Straka secured top-10 finishes in some of the PGA Tour's biggest events, including the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the Memorial Tournament and most recently the Scottish Open.
