Update: Nearly full contained Border 2 Fire in San Diego County, now at 90%
Border 2 Fire initially started 1:58 p.m. Jan. 23 in San Diego County. After being active for six days, it has burned 6,625 acres. A fire crew of 1,510 effectively contained 90% of the fire by Wednesday morning. The blaze's cause remains under investigation.

Update: Naval Fire in San Diego County – Jan. 29 status
Naval Fire initially started 10:28 a.m. Jan. 20 in San Diego County. It has been burning on federal land managed by the United States Forest Service for nine days. At this time, there is no information on the containment of the fire and the cause of it has yet to be determined.

Another brush fire erupts in San Diego County that could grow to 100 acres, officials say
SAN DIEGO (KABC) -- Another brush fire erupted Wednesday morning in San Diego County, prompting evacuation orders. The so-called Center Fire was reported at 8:55 a.m. Wednesday in the Rancho Bernardo community near Bernardo Center Drive and Camino del Norte and had the potential to burn up to 100 acres, authorities said.
