Florida officials are pursuing plans to build a second detention center to house immigrants, as part of the state’s aggressive push to support the federal government's crackdown on illegal immigration.

Though the Camp Blanding site thus far is purely conceptual, DeSantis says Florida will be “fully reimbursed.” And reporting from The Associated Press confirms that Alligator Alcatraz will bring federal funds to the state.
