While Oklahoma took the first game with a 5-1 win, Alabama pitcher Jocelyn Briski held the Sooners offense to two hits and one run off a solo home run, while the Crimson Tide secured the 6-1 victory with seven hits and two home runs by Kari Heivilin and Abby Duchscherer.
The pitching was solid and the bats were alive as the Sooner softball team sweeps Alabama and earns a place in this year's WCWS
OU softball was struggling a bit when they faced Alabama in an SEC series about a month ago. Since dropping that series, though, the Sooners are on a roll.
Brooke Ellestad, infielder- After transferring in from Louisiana, Ellestad found her spot as Alabama's starting third baseman for most of the season. She played in 60 games with 58 starts and finished second on the team with 46 RBIs and eight home runs while batting .295. Alabama will have to find a new third baseman.
