Noah Wyle says he’s “profoundly sad and disappointed” about a legal action alleging “The Pitt” is an unsanctioned revival of “ER."

Wyle played John Carter in “ER” from 1994-2009. He recently returned to the world of medical dramas as Dr. Michael “Robby” Robinavitch in HBO’s “The Pitt,” which premiered in January.

Noah Wyle, the star of both The Pitt and ER, recently opened up about the lawsuit filed by the estate of ER’s creator, Michael Crichton, which claimed HBO’s hit was too similar to the long-running medical drama of the ‘90s.
