Nico Williams scored the opener in the 22nd minute and Spain got another from Mikel Merino just three minutes later. Spain took that 2-0 lead to halftime and scored two more within the first 15 minutes of the second half – including a Lamine Yamal penalty – to make it 4-0.

In their first meeting since the Euro 2024 semifinal, France fell to Spain, 5-3. France had previously beaten Spain 2-1 in the 2021 Nations League final. Spain will now play Portugal in the UEFA Nations League final on Sunday (3 p.m. ET on FOX). France will play Germany in the third-place match.
