ATLANTA — A balky right ankle for Tommy Edman opened the door for Hyeseong Kim’s first taste of the big leagues, as the Los Angeles Dodgers called up the Korean utility man Saturday to replace Edman on the active roster.

Amid a rash of injuries to their pitching staff, the Los Angeles Dodgers will counter by adding to their lineup with Hyeseong Kim joining the roster. Casey Porter of Dodgers Daily first reported the news of Kim's call-up.
