The Golden State Warriors have issued a major injury update on Jonathan Kuminga ahead of Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings.

Kuminga, 22, participated in practice for a second straight day on Thursday but again wasn’t cleared for live contact. The Warriors aren’t going to activate him before he scrimmages with the team, effectively ruling him out for Friday night’s contest in Sacramento.

Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors received a massive boost regarding 6-foot-7 forward Jonathan Kuminga as they prepare to begin their playoff push over the last 30 games.

"Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga, who suffered a sprained right ankle on January 4 vs. Memphis and has missed the last 21 games, returned to team practice this evening at Chase Center for the first time since sustaining the injury," the statement read. "His return to game action will be based on his continued progress and physical readiness."
