Milroe is a high-upside, dual-threat gamble. Athlon's Luke Easterling does not project him to be a first-round pick, and NFL.com's Chad Reuter has Milroe going in the second round, albeit at No. 33 overall, the first pick of Round 2.

Alabama quarterback Jalen Milroe could blow up mock drafts everywhere and go in the opening round to a team looking for a young quarterback to eventually step in.

The Giants have been connected to just about every quarterback prospect under the sun, but Milroe, Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders stick out as the three most likely possibilities. No matter the day, Milroe would love to get the call from coach Brian Daboll to continue the strong connection they forged this offseason.
