Russia accused the United States on Tuesday of exerting illegal trade pressure on India after U.S. President Donald Trump threatened again to raise tariffs on India over its purchases of Russian oil.

Russia on Tuesday commented on the growing dispute between the U.S. and India over purchases of Russian oil. Trump's tariff threats were "attempts to force countries to stop trade relations with Russia,

India has a large trade surplus with the U.S. and was previously facing 25% rates set to go into effect this Thursday.
