Elon Musk has been using President Donald Trump 's past criticisms of raising the debt ceiling against him as he continues to attack the "big, beautiful bill." The former Trump ally shared several posts on X from the president, dating back more than a decade.

In a reply to another post, Musk took direct aim at Trump, suggesting the president’s 2024 victory wouldn’t have happened without him. “Without me, Trump would have lost the election, Dems would control the House and the Republicans would be 51-49 in the Senate,” Musk wrote. Musk then replied to himself.
