Two people were injured in a shooting during the 67th annual Ford Fireworks show in downtown Detroit on Monday, June 23, police told multiple news outlets. In a news conference, Detroit Police Chief Todd Bettison said the shooting stemmed from a fight between two people.

To kick off the season, the 2025 Ford Fireworks, produced by the Parade Co. and Zambelli Fireworks, will light up the sky over the Detroit River on Monday, June 23. Starting at 10 p.m., the 24-minute show will be visible from Belle Isle, Hart Plaza and many other spots in Detroit, depending on what angle you’re viewing from.
