An 18-inch Ornate Cat-eyed snake was found in a box of bananas at a New Hampshire grocery store on Friday, according to Rainforest Reptile Shows.

The employee found a snake — later identified as an Ornate Cat-eyed Snake, which officials say is a mildly venomous snake species native to Ecuador, New Hampshire Fish and Game wrote in a Facebook post. New Hampshire Fish and Game conservation officer Griffin McKeown told WMUR-TV that a call reporting a venomous snake was a unique experience.
