With Bryan Mbeumo now through the door, Manchester United will switch their focus to signing an out-and-out striker, and a report has revealed yet another opportunity to beat Arsenal to Sporting CP’s Viktor Gyökeres.

The report adds that Gyokeres’ contract with Arsenal, which will run until 2030, has already been prepared. Manchester United had been offered the chance again to sign Gyokeres after talks between Arsenal and Sporting stalled, however, the 27-year-old made it clear that Mikel Arteta’s side was the only destination he wanted.

Arsenal are set to sign Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP for £55m plus bonuses after beating Manchester United to secure him. The Swedish striker, who scored 54 goals last season, will become the Gunners’ fifth summer signing if the deal is finalised.
