While the NBA Draft buzz surrounding the Brooklyn Nets regards the No. 8 pick, the No. 19 pick could be just as impactful in a loaded class.
Washington is on the hunt "for star talent in the draft," per ESPN's Jeremy Woo, and this probably isn't the place to find it. The Wizards need a true blue-chip prospect to hasten their rebuild, and that label could be a bit much to describe someone like Oklahoma floor general Jeremiah Fears or Texas scoring guard Tre Johnson.

For a Nets team desperately seeking a cultural shift, Fears could be the engine. He brings swagger, leadership, and a willingness to get dirty — all traits Brooklyn sorely lacks.
They have oodles of cap space (more than twice as much as any other team) and future Draft picks with which to acquire veteran talent, but don’t have the requisite complementary players with which to surround a star and immediately move to the top of the Eastern Conference.
Shooting is a coveted skill in the NBA, and the Nets worked out the top shooter in the upcoming draft. At least, that’s how Chaz Lanier views himself.
